Terms of Service
Last updated · May 11, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Direct Service Plumbing's website and your engagement of our plumbing services. By requesting a quote, scheduling a job, or using this site, you agree to these Terms.
Quotes and pricing
All quotes are written and provided in advance of work. Quoted prices are good for 30 days unless otherwise noted. Scope changes — discovered conditions, additional work requested mid-job, code-required changes — are quoted in writing and require your approval before we proceed.
Diagnostic and trip fees
We charge a flat trip / diagnostic fee on service calls. The fee is disclosed when we schedule the visit. If you proceed with the recommended repair, the diagnostic fee is applied toward the work. After-hours calls may carry an after-hours surcharge, disclosed upfront.
Workmanship warranty
Repairs performed by Direct Service Plumbing are warrantied against defects in workmanship for one (1) year from the date of service. Manufacturer warranties on parts apply separately and are passed through to you at the manufacturer's terms. The workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, alterations by others, freeze damage, or acts of nature.
Permits and code
Where required, we pull permits and coordinate inspections. Permit fees are itemized in your quote. We will not perform work in a way that violates current plumbing code, even if a previous installation was non-compliant.
Payment
Invoices are due on completion unless other terms are agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, ACH, and standard payment methods. Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted under North Carolina law.
Cancellations
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled visit are no charge. Cancellations inside 24 hours may incur a trip fee if a technician was already dispatched.
Limitation of liability
Direct Service Plumbing is licensed, bonded, and insured. Our liability for any claim arising out of our work is limited to the amount paid for the work giving rise to the claim, except where greater liability is required by law. We are not liable for consequential or indirect damages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Disputes not resolved informally will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
